Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything you want to know about how SEMC Pro works, what we do and don’t access, and how we protect your information.
Access & Security
Do you access our systems?
No. SEMC Pro operates on a document submission model. You submit documents to us — through our secure client portal or by email — and we return deliverables. We do not access your internal systems, networks, or applications at any point during or after your engagement.
Do you require ERP integrations?
No. SEMC Pro does not require integration with SAP, Oracle, Workday, or any other ERP or procurement platform. Our service works entirely with the documents you provide. There is no IT project, no integration effort, and no system dependency.
Do you require VPN access?
No. VPN access to your network is never required. Document submission and delivery happen through our secure portal and standard communication channels. Your network infrastructure remains entirely separate from our operations.
Do you require credentials or administrative access?
No. SEMC Pro never requests credentials of any kind — not administrative credentials, not procurement platform logins, not CRM access, and not financial system access. You retain full control of all your systems and credentials throughout your engagement.
How do you protect submitted documents?
Documents submitted to SEMC Pro are handled with care and transmitted through secure channels. Access to client materials is restricted to SEMC Pro team members who need it to fulfill your engagement. We do not share client documents with third parties except as required to deliver contracted services, and we do not use submitted documents to train AI models.
How long do you retain client documents?
Client documents are retained for the duration of your active engagement with SEMC Pro and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes. If you require a specific retention or deletion policy, please contact us at admin@semcpro.com to discuss your requirements.
Our Service
Do you provide legal advice?
No. SEMC Pro provides contract intelligence — analysis, risk identification, redlining, negotiation guidance, and actionable deliverables. We are not a law firm, and our services do not constitute legal advice or legal representation. Clients remain responsible for all final business and legal decisions. We recommend consulting with qualified legal counsel for matters requiring legal advice.
Who reviews contracts?
SEMC Pro uses a combination of AI-assisted analysis and human expert review. AI tools assist in analyzing contract language and identifying risk areas at scale. Every output is then reviewed and validated by a qualified SEMC Pro team member before it is delivered to you. No AI output goes directly to a client without human oversight.
How is AI used in the review process?
AI assists in analyzing contract language, identifying potentially problematic clauses, comparing language against standard positions, generating redline suggestions, and drafting initial review outputs. AI accelerates the process and improves consistency. Human experts validate all AI-generated outputs. Client documents are not used to train AI models.
What does "No software to learn" mean?
SEMC Pro does not require you to onboard onto a new software platform, learn a new interface, or train your team. You submit documents through a simple intake process and receive completed deliverables. There is no application to configure, no workflow to build, and no ongoing system maintenance required from your side.
Do I need an existing playbook to work with SEMC Pro?
No. If you have an existing contract playbook, we will align all reviews with your preferred positions, fallback language, and risk tolerance. If you don’t have a playbook, you can start with the SEMC Standard Configuration or choose our Contract Intelligence Implementation Package, which includes setup, one MSA playbook, one SOW playbook, and full configuration for a one-time fee of $750.
